Bellis was first established in 1952 in Unley, South Australia and has since grown to become a well-known and respected food manufacturer.

The company has adapted to the changing business environment of the 21st century by continuing to improve processes and by expanding our own unique core products in an efficient and sustainable manner.

Bellis established at Unley.

1960’s

Market Share increases with Products including School Fruit Bars; Glazed products & Gift Packs.

1969

Bellis moves to Norwood under the name of Bellis Exclusive Products.

1970’s

School Fruit Bars well established. Exports increase.

Bellis moves to Graves St, Newton

1980

Bellis sold to Allens Sweets and renamed Bellis Fruit Bars. A new range of products established including enrobed products.

1987

Allens Sweets sell Bellis to four independent shareholders.

1990’s

Bellis in all supermarkets in Australia. Exports account for 10% of sales. Bellis restructure with only two directors.

Bellis moves to new manufacturing factory at Elizabeth South.

Bellis Director Nick Begakis is awarded Member of the Order of Australia (AM)

Bellis Fruit Bars are wholly South Australian owned and managed, proudly manufacturing quality and value for money, dried fruit based confectionery and formulated nutritional products.
